Geography

The Cursed World doesn't have an official map. It is basically like the real world, although the exact details are left to the GM.

In the collapse to anarchy, much knowledge of the world has been lost and fragmented. Player Characters have only vague knowledge of the lands beyond their home.

Technology

Cursed World is deliberately anachronistic. Before the collapse, the world had technology comparable to the Renaissance. Since the collapse, many technologies have been lost, and isolated places have reverted to a more primitive life.

The existence of magic tends to stifle technological advancement. For example, gunpowder weapons are quite rare. The time and effort to develop these dangerous devices just isn't worth it in a world of wizards and dragons.

Europa

Europe is the default starting place. All the typical cliches are available: vikings from the frozen north, Arthurian knights, swashbuckling sailors, anything you want.

Imperial City

Capitol of the fallen empire, home of the Emperor, and the place where the liberator's circle slew him.

Even before the fall it was a place that inspired dread. Since then, it has become hell on earth. Even dragons and Demon Lords do not go there lightly.

Some have theorized that somewhere in the imperial palace lies the key to understanding and defeating the emperor's curse.
